For those of you who remember the late Andy Rooney from "60 Minutes," and/or Frank Calliendo's impression of him, imagine that voice speaking these next sentences (it's fine if you don't, but you should do some Googling in that case)... :
"Has anyone ever noticed how Scott Pilgrim looks just like Jeremy Feeple? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like this character has 'Ben Dunn' (*air quotes*) before. Now, I realize that this comic is lampooning everything under the sun but the kitchen sink, but if your title character is going to resemble the main character of -another- North America-based comic... oh, pardon me, -manga-... then at least base him on someone that didn't drift into obscurity twenty years ago."
Disclaimer: I don't actually have this kind of snarky attitude toward _Scott Pilgrim vs. The World_, as this is just an impression (of an impression), but the opinions themselves are indeed mine. If you're younger than, say, 17 to 19 years old, you'll probably need to Google even more stuff.
